# Retro Game: Final Fight 3
## Overview
*Final Fight 3* delivers the climactic conclusion to the legendary SNES beat 'em up saga. With the Mad Gear Gang dismantled, a new, more vicious threat known as the Skull Cross Gang emerges to fill the power vacuum in Metro City. Mayor Mike Haggar is forced back into action, this time joined by the returning ninja Guy, a tough metro detective named Lucia Morgan, and a mysterious street fighter called Dean, whose family was tragically victimized by the new gang. Together, they must fight across the city to restore order one last time.
## Background
Released by Capcom in 1995, *Final Fight 3* was developed exclusively for the Super Nintendo. It was designed to be the most ambitious and technically advanced entry in the series, building upon the foundations of its predecessors. The game brought back fan-favorite character Guy, who was famously absent from the first SNES port, and introduced two completely new characters with deep move sets. It was Capcom's definitive statement for the 16-bit beat 'em up, packed with features that showcased the full potential of the SNES hardware.
## Gameplay
*Final Fight 3* evolves the series' combat system significantly. Players choose from four distinct characters, each with unique strengths and a much wider array of moves, including dashes and command-based special attacks reminiscent of the *Street Fighter* series. The biggest innovation is the introduction of a Super Move gauge, which fills as you fight. Once full, it allows you to unleash a devastating attack without sacrificing any health, adding a new layer of strategy to combat. The game features a full two-player cooperative mode and, in a unique twist, allows a single player to be accompanied by a computer-controlled partner. With branching paths that offer different levels and bosses, *Final Fight 3* provides a deep, replayable, and action-packed brawling experience.
