Battletoads / Double Dragon is a crossover beat 'em up that unites Rare's Battletoads with Technos Japan's Double Dragon heroes. Released in 1993 for Game Boy, it delivers side-scrolling action built around hard-hitting combat and a team-up against a shared threat.

Premise

After the Dark Queen returns from deep space with a new invasion plan, Earth comes under attack from the massive Colossus and a mysterious energy beam. To stop her and her allies, the Battletoads join forces with Billy and Jimmy Lee to take on enemies tied to both the Dark Queen and the Shadow Boss.

Gameplay

This hack-and-slash beat 'em up focuses on brawling through enemy-filled stages with the series' trademark over-the-top action. Players battle a lineup of villains including General Slaughter, Big Blag, Robo Manus, Abobo, and Roper as the crossover cast fights to save Earth.
