Mega Man X, known as Rockman X in Japan, is a 1993 action-platformer developed and published by Capcom for the SNES. Launching the Mega Man X series, it’s set 100 years after the original Mega Man, following X, a new Reploid created by Dr. Light, and his ally Zero as they fight Sigma’s Maverick uprising. Players battle eight Maverick bosses—Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, Launch Octopus, Boomer Kuwanger, Sting Chameleon, Storm Eagle, Flame Mammoth, and Chill Penguin—to gain weapons and upgrades.
